To grow up with a rock icon father and an actress for a mother he could have turned into a spoiled shithead, but he really seems like a fine young man who gets it. I also think he has had a real calming influence on the rest of the band.

I wonder about that. I haven’t read the bios, but wasn’t Val as strung out at Ed most of time? Seems like he turned out ok in spite of his parents?
