I ordered mine on eBay for $44 total with shipping. It’s supposed to arrive Friday or Saturday this week.

Vinyl is in da house. Like the embossed cover. Haven’t cracked the seal on it yet.

My record has finally shipped, will be here later this week. There is a 24/96 vinyl rip out there on a torrent site:
Lovingly transferred from vinyl to 24/96 by Darkivist 2012-04-16

GEAR:

- Spin Clean
- VPI 16.5 RCM with Audio Intelligent Solutions 3-step cleaning fluids
- Milty Zerostat 3
- Technics SL1600 with Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge and KAB Electro-Acoustics record clamp
- Musical Fidelity V-LPS phono preamp
- TASCAM FW-1884 DAW
- MacBook Pro
- Adobe Audition 3.0
- FLAC encoded with XLD

Van Halen is back in a big way! No noise reduction. No fades between tracks – only between LP sides. Manual spot click removal only. You will hear some occasional surface noise if you try hard (it is red vinyl) – deal with it. Or listen to the CD. Enjoy!

I’ve listened to one track so far, and it’s not a huge difference from the CD. It’s a little quieter/more dynamic but not a lot. It is noticeably easier to listen to cranked up than the ear-bleeding mastering of the CD.

Thank You for this. My vinyl came in 2 days ago but I do not have a player to play it on yet.
