Is it one disc or two? Cause if it’s one, there’s your answer.

The Tokyo show is 4 LPs, or two CDs.

Logo from the top of the CD box case. It’s distorted because of the angle of the photo.

I’m curious to hear how the 2015 remasters compare to the 2000 remasters and the 1998 Digital Compact Classics edition of VH1. I wish Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs would give the classic six pack and the Van Hagar albums the special remastering attention they deserve!

Someone over at VHL noticed that the lyrics printed on the LP sleeves match what was sung in concert. For example, in RWTD, it’s printed “Headed off to Tokyo, on down that road”, and that’s what Dave sung at that show.

Hope the remasters have bonus demos or I am not buying them.
Also aren’t we getting the full Tokyo show ?

EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”.

Is there a hi-res shot of a sleeve?

Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings.

I am having a really hard time getting excited about being given the opportunity to purchase a show that I already have on CD and DVD (in more than acceptable quality) that is going to be edited/altered from the original version and then be offered yet another “remastered” version of the same 6 CDs/LPs that I’ve purchased (at my last estimation) at least seven times already, not counting “Best Of” compilations. These new “Remasters” will have to be fucking amazing to get me to buy them again. I saw people at the Links saying they hope there are “demos” or “leftover” tracks on these new remasters. I highly doubt this is going to happen since they would have taken advantage of promoting this addition in the press release to help promote the new releases. I really want to be excited about this, but it’s just not happening. The only thing I’m looking forward to is the potential of a new tour. Based on a couple cryptic posts from other VH nuts, it seems this is already etched in stone.

strange that **more** remasters are coming out — but (being positive) maybe they are even better sounding than the last ones ;-) maybe?

Still re-release / box set most definitely should include demo, outtakes, live etc. But we kinda know that isn’t VH’s style. Every other band, sure

Where’s the tour chatter coming from?

I’m actually pretty stoked about the live album.

1 or 2 people said they have contacts or friends at venues that have said VH have been asking about open dates, but no formal booking yet
