PT5150 (6290) | At tripplem website. I don’t know about Sam and Dave package though. Van Halen Coming To Oz Van Halen is back on the radar for a visit to Australia in 2013 and the hot rumour is they’ll be here just before mid-year. And if that’s not enough to get you doing star-jumps soucres tell us talks are underway to have both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar performing for the tour! Maybe they’ll do a duet together? “They’ve got some dates in Japan in May, June, July and I know that one promoter is chasing this tour. It’s pretty firm at this stage,” said Triple M music reporter Nui Te Koha. It’s been off and on again with the 70s rock legends for the past couple of years. They almost came to play Soundwave and they pulled out because they weren’t ready. A promoter had a crack at it last year, almost had it across the line, and the band canceled again. This latest tour news, however, is on the mark. And about Diamond Dave and Sammy Hagar on stage together… we’ll believe it when we see it. Hagar replaced David Lee Roth as vocalist in 1985 and played with them until 1996. He then rejoined the band for two years in 2003. There’s been a much publicised war of words between the pair over the years but it looks like they may have patched up their differences. ron (11782) | Sammy and the Wabos (along with Mikey) are going out for some dates this summer. I don’t see any way that Sammy hooks up with the current VH tour. It’ll probably be something like what happened in 1998 when VH toured OZ, and Sammy toured OZ, but not together. ronQuote |

PT5150 (6290) | We are reading too much into it, but it would be awesome. Remember thoughts when you heard Sammy was back in 04 or Dave in 07 or Sam -Dave Tour 2002. videoman320 (308) | It really wouldn’t surprise me. These guys are older and have mellowed. I also think Wolfie is the calming force that Eddie and the guys listen to. I could see Wolfie bringing it up and explaining just how huge this could be for them. It would be a cash cow for these guys. This would be a dream come true tour. Imagine the banter back and forth between Dave and Sammy, it would be hysterical. You play a set with Dave,a set with Sammy and then bring them both out for the encore. That lineup could easily sell 3 or 4 nights here in Chicago. I for one would be at every show in Chicago. videoman320Quote |

sickman (2380) | I just don’t see Sam and Dave being on the stage together. There isn’t a stage large enough for those two egos. Doing separate sets maybe. I honestly don’t see Dave going for it though. This is his Van Halen and to him there is no other. Just like their website, to Dave the Sam era never existed. No doubt that it would be a huge tour though with sell outs in multiple cities on multiple nights. Probably do the Garden 3 nights in a row. sickmanQuote |

ffoner (1089) | It’s always dangerous business to say “it will never happen” with these guys, but come on…. ffonerQuote |
