There was no equalization, normalization, etc…. It was recorded on a medium volume level and left alone.
It came out a little on the soft side volume-wise.
The taper either turned the tape off between the encores or whoever dubbed the tape cut that out. You can
hear the tape going off and on.
Glitch at the end of Disc 1 Track 8 and beginning of Disc 2 Track 10 is part of the source tape.
The volume dips down a little bit in the middle of “Runnin’ With The Devil” and stays that way until the middle
of “Little Guitars” when it rebounds again. This is how the source tape is.
It is divided it up the way it is because this came on two cassettes– one full cassette and one side of another.
The first side of the first cassette ended after “I’ll Wait” and then picks up on the second side with the
keyboard solo. The end of the second side ends with “Panama” cut off and then the third cassettes re-starts
with “Panama”. This track was spliced back together to form the whole song.
One of the best features of this show is the taper’s comments. The taper sounds like he’s 16 or 17. His best
comments are during the bass solo and the guitar solo.
Eddie screws up the beginning of “Girl Gone Bad” and really messes up “Jump”. You can hear part of
“Right Now” and “Mine All Mine” in the keyboard solo. He also screws around with “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love”.
If that riff sounds familiar, it should–it’s the riff of the middle part of “Good Enough” from the “5150″ album.
Released in May 2004.

That is some nice artwork Dean. I just wish the Hartford show a few days after this one was recorded. That was my first Van Halen concert.
