ed5150 (211) | Size is 2.47 GB, 24bit FLAC files. Another source was posted some months ago, don’t know which one is better. http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=461563 Van Halen 24 bit version Taper: Doniker Dave Contrast clause: This is a different recorder than the one I posted here: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=453727 The tape has seen better days. A few wrinkles near the beginning of side 1, and the pad under the tape had fallen out. I had to do some surgery in order to get this transfer. Not a bad recording considering the equipment. Slightly distorted, but reasonably clear, and all the frequencies were there. A little EQ to clear up the fidelity loss from the aging of less than top quality cassettes and some processing to make it seem a bit more stereo and here you have it. Since the tape was in mono anyway, and since the right channel was less than half the volume of the left (introducing more noise) I eliminated the right channel and substituted the left before the stereo spatialization step. The tape change was a little slow, so part of Pretty Woman was missed 01 Intro Many thanks to Ken for providing me with his brother’s masters so we could bring you this recording. More to come. Enjoy! ed5150Quote |

jroundy (1418) | Thanks for the heads up. Definitely not downloading the 2.47 GB version…. that’s just silly. The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!! jroundyQuote |
