unchainedheart (1948) | on blabbermouth:METALLICA is teasing a special announcement that will be delivered on Monday, February 26 via the band’s official web site and social media channels. Although there has been no official word on the matter, the group is widely expected to reveal the details of a late summer and early fall 2018 North American arena tour. Adding credence to the rumors is the fact that Buffalo, New York’s KeyBank Center; Lincoln, Nebraska’s Pinnacle Bank Arena; Indianapolis, Indiana’s Bankers Life Fieldhouse; Sacramento, California’s Golden 1 Center; Kansas City, Missouri’s Sprint Center; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota’s Denny Sanford PREMIER Center all shared the exact same video earlier today (see below). METALLICA was one of six artists — and one of only two rock acts, the other being TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA — to sell more than one million concert tickets in North America in 2017, a feat they accomplished in just 26 performances. The “WorldWired” trek was the fifth-highest grossing tour of 2017, with 1.5 million tickets sold and $153 million earned. The band was also the top-selling rock act of the year and had the third best-selling rock album. Touring in support of its latest album, “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct”, that arrived in November 2016, METALLICA launched the world tour in Latin America a month before the disc’s release. In early 2017, prior to the North American stadium tour, the band made festival appearances and headlined concerts at venues in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Although METALLICA played U.S. stadiums last summer, the band was mostly indoors for the first leg of its European tour last fall. METALLICA’s European tour included the first drone swarm for a major touring act. It consisted of 120 autonomous micro drones that emerge from the main-stage prop lifts during the song “Moth Into Flames” and swarm into several formations over the band’s heads, according to Pollstar. since new-york key bank center is a 19000 seaters plus, this is not the announcement for the band that hasen’t tour in almost a decade. Now,Let’s go Van-Halen unchainedheartQuote |

ron (11783) | https://www.facebook.com/groups/168614963632478/permalink/338805263280113/ OPEN LETTER to Edward Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth: I first want to say that I, Steven Pattah, am one of the biggest Van Halen fans on the planet. I have seen Van Halen as a band or solo shows of the various members a total of over 300 times in concert. Since I was a kid, I bought friends, family and even teachers Van Halen cassettes/CD’s as gifts. I spread the good word known as VAN HALEN. There is a lot to celebrate in the band’s history: the musicianship, the comradery, the great times and the rich history of the most influential American Hard Rock Band of All-Time. The time to honor and celebrate it is RIGHT NOW. For the fans, for yourselves, and for the music industry. This is the time to contact Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar and do a worldwide stadium tour. Let’s make this happen, and I know how to make it smooth from the first contact to the last show of the tour and everything in between. I know exactly what to do and not do. Ed, remember the great times you and Sammy shared, don’t make those a distant memory. You too Al. David, you and Michael were the pranksters, remember those great times too. David, you are a CLASS ACT for contacting Michael with the passing of his grandchild and making a donation in his name. Sammy even acknowledged that about you. David, imagine the friendly competition of you and Sammy taking the stage for a few songs at a time and rotating. It will bring the absolute best out of the both of you. Ed and Al, you guys were ON FIRE the last 3 tours. Michael still has the voice and of course the chest-pounding bass. Let’s DO THIS. It will be the greatest tour EVER SEEN. David, with your ingenious ideas for a stage production, it will make other bands jealous. LET’S DO THIS TOUR NOW. I can make this happen and make it smooth from start to finish. I will manage the tour, the intricate details, I know how to advertise it and promote it, great ideas for opening bands, I’ll even handle the personalities with ease, I’ll even make David and Sammy not only get along, but actually LIKE EACH OTHER. Everyone, repost this and let’s spread the word. Ed, Al and David, contact me ASAP if you want to make the world’s greatest tour that every happened a reality and a tremendous success. I will put my blood, sweat, tears, HEART and SOUL into this. Thank you and God Bless you ALL! Sincerely yours, ronQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | Apparently, Steven Pattah is the answer to our prayers. The ONLY guy who can make this happen. I noticed he didn’t even mention Wolf. That’s going to count against him. GilliganQuote |
