evhua (1610) | Hi buddies, PLEASE, DON’T SHOOT THE MESSENGER… …it seems that sooner rather than later..there will be an announcement about a VAN HALEN 40TH ANNIVERSARY REUNION TOUR…with all the past members on board. I don’t know if this will happen…but it seems consistent the idea that Michael Anthony is back on the bass. Let’s see what happens… evhuaQuote |

ron (11783) | If past tour announcements give us insight…. 2007/08 tour started at the end of Sept that year. It was announced on August 13th, just over 6 weeks prior. 2012 tour started Feb 18th, and was announced on Jan 6, so 6 weeks prior. 2015 tour started on July 5th, and was announced on March 24th, almost 15 weeks prior! ronQuote |

ron (11783) | And to add to this jello wresting mess, a local radio station just hyped a MAJOR CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT coming on Monday for a band that hasn’t been here in almost a decade. …and the last time VH appeared here was in ’08. They were schedued to appear in ’12, but that was in the half of the tour that got cancelled. So who knows…. Guess I’ll have to be listening Monday to see what this announcement is…. ronQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | I think touring with Sam and Dave is really the only thing that makes solid financial sense at this time. I really don’t know, but it seems like just another tour with Ed, Al, Dave & Wolf wouldn’t fill arenas like in the past. Adding Sammy would generate a lot more interest. If I were them, I’d do two nights in each city; one night with each singer. Gary and Mike? Can’t see their involvement making a difference except for a few hundred die hards. I know Mike gets a lot of love for being a great guy, but the general public probably doesn’t care who the bass player is. I’m a huge fan, I and have trouble caring myself! All that said, I’d be amazed if this rumor is true. GilliganQuote |

sickman (2380) | Ticket prices will be ridiculous if this tour happens. My guess would be each singer would get 1 hour on stage alternating the closing slot. There will be no time at all that Sam and Dave will see one another on the tour. The question is whose set will get cut short by Eddies guitar solo. Will it remain within the last few songs or will it change. sickmanQuote |

I heard on the radio today about a MAJOR CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT Monday morning 2/26. If it is VH related, I’m betting a VH tour with the original four members. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

The announcement here is set for 8am Central US time Monday morning. I don’t follow the band, but might it be a KISS announcement? ronQuote |
