We all know Van Halen rules, but have you ever wondered what their albums might have sounded like if they were able to record a few of them during their club days? While we’ll never know the answer to that question, I’ve attempted to do the next best thing by compiling a series of fantasy releases covering the group’s formative years.

‘Van Halen Live’ is my attempt at building the great, lost double-live album that seemingly every other band from the seventies released back then. Literally dozens of hours of live VH recordings were auditioned to ensure that only the best sounding, most insane performances got included here.

Recorded live in Southern California between February, 1975 and September, 1976, this release showcases Van Halen as the premier live party band of their era. Kick back and enjoy the show!
