mcs5150 (1096) | DVD and audio from 1982 that as far as I am aware has not been available on torrents since 2007 is once again being seeded. Thanks to Kite for originally upping this and vanalan09 for the reseed. http://www.jamtothis.com/showthread.php?p=68854 Artist: Show or Bootleg Title: Show Venue: Source: Video Quality/Production Info: Format: Set List/Chapters: DVD One: 01. Romeo Delight DVD Two: 01. Dance the Night Away Video Attributes: Audio Attributes: Audio Coding mode: Dolby Digital Comments and Reviews: The Digital Dan (Aud: VG+/EX-, Vid: VG): There are two different versions of this show being released, one is the CD version and the other is the DVD version. The video was sourced from a Digital-8 clone of a Super VHS copy of the original BetaMax master tape. Yes folks, this is as good as it is ever going to get. The video is pretty complete with some of the longer dead spaces missing during the original filming and some other small cuts, none of them during songs. The picture is completely unobstructed as it was filmed from high up at the back of the venue on a tripod. The video is pretty stable throughout the show. Due to the resolution of the camera and the technology of the time, the video quality is kind of low res and a bit grainy at times. The sound track is in mono which was the only option on the cam corder that the filmer rented for the show. However, thanks to a donated source, there is a second soundtrack for the show taken from a 1st gen analog recording. The sync of the analog audio to the analog video was a very difficult 22 hour undertaking, and while not perfect, it is rarely off by more than a few hundredths of a second. Now for the special features. The menus are all interactive with audio including a couple surprises. All the menu links have cut sequence transitions for a more professional if not entertaining look. The audio setup menu allows you to select which soundtrack you want with the video playback. Of course, you can always cycle the audio soundtracks during playback by hitting the “audio” key on the dvd remote. There are two Rockline interview shows available through the bonus menu, one Rockline show on each DVD of the set. The Rockline show is presented in slide show format, just let it play through. Other menu’s include a Chapters screen as well as production credits and notes. On the DVD’s themselves are the full artworks in JPEG format as well as a SHN lossless compressed version of the audio CD of the show. You’ll need a computer DVD Rom drive to take advantage of these features. If you have a computer based dvd recorder, the md5 check sum for the video and audio files are also included. That way you’ll know if your copy is an accurate clone of the production masters. Now for the Technical details. The Digital-8 video was transfered to the computer via firewire connection to a Sony TRV-340 camcorder. All video was mastered in Adobe Premier and all the audio was remastered using Adobe Audition. The video was encoded at the highest constant bit rate (8000kbps) using TMPGEnc with all settings at highest quality, hence a two disc release. The audio was encoded as 256kbps 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo. Many thanks to the CBG for the video source and photos and to Greg for the audio source used in this production. As with all Digital Reproductions releases, this is for free trade or blank media trade only. Please do not buy, sell or distribute for profit. Help keep the spirit of trading alive. mcs5150Quote |
