ron: Is there really any interest in running commentary on the progress, or should I just shut up and get it done?

Yes and Yes. :-)

ron:That leaves two choices.Use the audio from the Much Music broadcast (which isn’t complete compared to the original PPV), or use audio from one of the bootlegs from the broadcast.I’ll have to raid the basement to see what I’ve got on CD from that show, as I think that’s the way to go. – Another thought is to rip the audio off one of the other DVD’s.Will have to look to see if any of them have LPCM audio.

I checked two copies of the show on DVD that I could find, and both have lossy Dolby Digital audio. I couldn’t find my copy of the AppleJack version during my first pass through the archives, which probably means that I don’t have it in a printed artwork DVD case, and that it’s in a papersleeve (maybe not even labeled!) somewhere. The chances of me finding it are slim. So, if anyone has the AppleJack version on DVD (that they can find), can they check the audio for me? Thanks.

Had to use the WayBack Machine, but the DirqVan web site indicates the AppleJack version has LPCM audio.

I was looking in my 3rd, and last tub of random discs, and found the AppleJack version. 2 DVDs, “Toronto On Balance”, with LPCM audio. Now to figure out how to rip the audio. On my old computer, I had DVD Decrypter which would do it, not sure what to use now, will have to go looking.

I have the Apple Jack version of this and it’s great, but when I try to copy it, I get an error on one of the .IFO files on the second disc and I can’t duplicate it or copy it to my hard drive. It plays perfectly fine, just won’t copy??

I tried it, but ended up using SmartRipper 2.41 instead. Had trouble getting the whole disc audio to sync up with the newly captured video. SmartRipper 2.41 captured the audio in smaller chunks (VOB by VOB instead of the whole disc), and I was able to get things synced better that way.
