Is this another situation where size really does matter?

How did you compare file sizes? One is a ZIP archive, and the other is a RAR archive. Do you have both archives? Have you uncompressed both archives and audited the files within?

I compared download file sizes on 2 different download sites. If it’s the same show, how come there are 2 listings at G101

& no one there has said anything about it? Maybe I missed something ?

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

No-one actually listens to anything they download. They just download, put the files in a folder somewhere, and add it to their list.

They could be the same, as the song lengths in the description are the same.

Unless someone just copied & pasted the info from the first listing.

Only way to find out is to download.

Someone should post a ‘fake’ show & wait to see how long it takes before someone realizes it.

Ah….they’ve changed the board and now part of it is hidden to guests.

Well ~ here’s what happened. There is a thread at The Tapers Section where the posters swear it’s only about hammering people who “fluff their bad recordings.” In other words – they talk smack about those who talk highly of some crappy recording they did.

Some people would say that’s actually just a thinly veiled excuse for a bunch of snobs who like making fun of people who aren’t very experienced at taping and/or don’t have/can’t afford nice recording gear.

So one of the guys got the worst recording he ever made and posted it and “pretended” to be a fluffer. Around half of the comments in the thread at Dime are made by guys who regularly post in the thread at The Tapers Section.

Here’s the Dime thread: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?&id=413772
