VOODOO (2375) | Man, I love this show! I forgot all about the extended jam at the start of “Little Dreamer”. I wonder if Dave cut his nose open… VOODOOQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | I didn’t realize this was recorded damn near to the day (two days earlier) than Tokyo Dome Live In Concert was recorded. A pretty cool contrast from their first tour to their last tour. If Dave would stick to singing the way he does at this show today he would sound so much better. He obviously can’t scream, but he’s staying in his range here and he could still do so today on most of these songs. If anyone needs this, shoot me a PM and I’ll send you the DB link. VOODOOQuote |

jroundy (1418) | Thanks for the heads up. The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!! jroundyQuote |

ModelCitizen (333) | Many thanks. I hadn’t heard Down in Flames other than the Looney Tunes version. This is much better. Such a great tune. …Zero Discipline ModelCitizenQuote |

ron (11783) | After the end of the show, the last track continues for over 5 minutes with band intros and a portion of “Java Blues” from Rick Danko recorded live, but with an unknown date and location. (possibly Tokyo May 13, 1978) Best guess is that the Van Halen show was recorded over this other one, and when it was transferred to digital, the extra wasn’t trimmed off. ronQuote |
