ron (11785) | http://thelegendarycobo.com/The_Legendary_Cobo/News/News.html Chad Smith, Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar. Saturday, August 8, 2009 Detroit native Chad Smith, along with his legendary band mates Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar, came to COBO for a supercharged interview. Chad told his story of attending the 1975 KISS Alive! show with his brother and recalled witnessing Fin Costello take the famous cover photo. Sammy Hagar gave us a tremendous perspective on the legendary arena and his first hand understanding of the Cobo mystique. Uber-Legend Michael Anthony recounted some amazing stories from his many multi-night headlining stands with Van Halen at Cobo, relating his own personal performance survival tales. ronQuote |

guitard (7354) | Thanks for visiting our site and checking out the The Legendary Cobo! We have spent the last 3 years working incredibly hard on this project and we now have the end in sight. However, there are a few big obstacles that we still need to overcome to complete the film. We have unearthed a huge amount of historic 16mm film footage from the 60’s and 70’s that have never before been seen. Getting a professional digital transfer of that rare film is one of our biggest hurdles. Please LIKE US on Facebook, and stay tuned for updates and more info on the making of this incredible film! guitardQuote |

Halenberg (406) | Thanks for posting this Ron I noticed it the other night I like this kinda stuff looks like it’ll be a cool documentary. Although I can’t see the video I guess it’s blocked up here in Canada. I also noticed its kinda old but I never knew about it before cool to see Chad was at the KISS show back then. I’m super curious to hear what Mike has to say. As well as many others listed on their page. Seems like some of these documentaries take forever to actually come out. Like that Texxas Jam one and a couple others. NOW- I wonder if that recent silent footage was somehow connected to this maybe. We could see from the Life Magazine pics of the girl and Fletch said it was definitely from Detroit ’82 so maybe it’s connected and there’s more to see. HalenbergQuote |
