Stone Temple Pilots – Foxwoods August 25 2012

My wife and I went to see STP last night at Foxwoods. Only our second time there, the first being AIC back in 2010. This time we got there early, about 6 pm and took some time to walk around and check out the place. We had dinner at The Hard Rock Cafe which was very good. Not much VH stuff their. All I saw was a big Balance album cover and an EAS Album cover.

The show was great. We had pretty good seats and I had forgotten how small that Theater is. Very intimate setting. They even allowed people to get right up to the stage.
Scott was in great form this night. Talked a bit with the crowd, and at one point a guy that was front and center asked Scott for a set list. Scott replied, “Sure you can get a set list” and went to the drum riser and gave him one.

Robert was great to watch as well. That guy really likes to groove when he plays. Quite a few times he was down on his knees right at the edge of the stage playing.
They did a lot of groovy blues intros to their songs that at times just seemed to bring down the momentum of the previous song but maybe that’s what they were looking for.
