Revo11: I wish he’d just rejoin Skid Row, Slave to the Grind is a killer CD, heavy as hell and one of the most underrated CDs ever by a hard rock band.

100% agree with ya on that! Subhuman Race is also pretty heavy but not as good as Slave in my opinion.

Mink: Didn’t he audition for Velvet Revolver also? I think Slash commented in his book about how it sounded like Skid Row and Guns n Roses, so they didn’t choose him.I also thought he tried out for VH, but I can’t back that up.

I met Sebastian at a Thunderfest here in Troy, MI. This was around 1998? I think Gary may have been in the band at the time. I asked him point blank if he ever auditioned for VH as I had heard the rumors and he said:

(assumes Sebastian Bach rockstar voice) “Man if those guys don’t want Roth in the band – and I LOVVVVVEE Roth man – what the HELL would they want with Sebastian Bach?”

So my guess is no, lol.

Why would Bach make this up? Why would Nikki care? In my mind this whole thing is a big … SO WHAT? WHO CARES!

And that comes from someone who is generally a fan of both.

He definitely loves Roth. I was fortunate enough to attend an after-show party of Roth’s – this had to be around 1994 – and Bas was there. He’s like Roth in that he is “on” all the time.
