Found out they are photos from a Black Sabbath roadie from a show in England in 1978.. EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |

VOODOO (2375) | Just noticed one of the pictures, #32, is from 1980. I don’t know how that got lumped into these. VOODOOQuote |

Scott – what do you think of these pics? They include the one from in front of the amps you posted about before. Are these just an old Kodak that someone snuck into a show or are they from a vid source? They do have that sucky old camera look to me, like the pics I took as a kid. But I guess they could also look like they were taken from screenshots of an old video. Any info on where they’re from? “This hamburger don’t need no helper.” – DLR 5/17/15 wjamflanQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | PT5150 posted earlier that they were taken by a roadie on the London leg of the Sabbath tour in ’78. I still think they all look like they could be frames or shots from a projected film video, simply because there are so many angles and both tight, close ups and a full, center stage shot from a distance. Unless the guy went all around the venue with his camera and had multiple, unobstructed views of the stage, it still holds the possibility of being from film. Look at all of the various angles and close ups and distant shots. I could very well be wrong, but I like the possibility that this could be from some video footage.

Even if it’s from video footage, we’ll never get to see it… MarkQuote |

mikeyV (335) | I thought the same thing, unless this guy ran all over the arena to get all these angles. I had an old 110 instamatic, you couldn’t do much except take a snap shot. No zoom (which would cancel out some shots), no tone, or color adjustments. Man those do look like they’re from film. Look at the St Paul 1980 footage or even the Fresno 78, 79 footage the quality looks the same……………and the hunt begins MikeyV The Ultimate in Van Halen Vinyl Proud Member Since the First Year– Both VHTrading and the Band mikeyVQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | I’m no photo expert, but they look like old photographs to me. If they were taken from film I’d think whoever did it would have used better “shots”? There are a lot of “back of the head” shots you wouldn’t normally take on purpose. But don’t let that stop anyone from looking! GilliganQuote |
