mrmojohalen (6467) | If Dave is serious about writing new songs, he should get his ass back to LA & head up to 5150 for some jam sessions. It’s only been less than 8 months since the end of the tour. The RS interview could have a negative impact on the upcoming tour rehearsals. Time will tell. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

Where are they Brian in LA?? What about this from a guy at links…I agree big thing to pack up all the gear fly to Japan for 3 shows..Even if they get a $1 million a show.. James from links. Or postponing Japan once again. There’s no way they’re packing up the entire production and flying it to Japan for just 3 shows this year. Hopefully more dates are coming. And those festivals Dave and Al are shooting for. Insert fingers crossed emoticon here. Vince G. (2261) | “As great as Mike is, this wouldn’t be happening if Mike was still in the band. There would be no tour, there would be no album, there would be no nothing”, said Bertinelli. From what it seems, this is true or at least partially true.” Such bullshit. Mike wasn’t the holdout on recording or playing after Gary left . Mike wasn’t the one who was incommunicado in ’02. Mike was the one who wanted to play, but was forced to sit on his ass by Al & Ed. And Mike was the one who got his ass reamed when he went out and played with Sam from ’02 onward. To say there would be no tour or new album if Mike was in the band is a load of shit. Vince G.Quote |

I think what Val was referring to was the fact that Wolfgang is what got Eddie motivated to clean his act up and get back to caring about making music. It had little to do with Mike as a person or a player and more to do with Eddie wanting to play with his son. sickmanQuote |

Why not? They did the US Festval for $1.5 million and that was just one show. I’d already have my bags packed if someone offered me that kind of money! Remember, they’ve already committed to do the shows. Probably the only reason they got a pass was Ed’s health scare. Any other reason and they’d have to pay big bucks for the cancellation. Van Halen must have some high insurance premiums for show postponements/cancellations! Stay Frosty DaveQuote |

mrmojohalen (6467) | Did Ed & Dave ever really write together? From what I’ve read in the past, Ed would give Dave a cassette of music & Dave would write lyrics on his own. I wonder if Dave is uneasy about recording at 5150 ? When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |
