Scott – wasn’t the vinyl supposed to come with a cd? Did it not? The Mp3 is definitely sped up, and it sounds like it was taken directly from vinyl. Needed a 5% reduction to get the VH quarter step down tuning. “This hamburger don’t need no helper.” – DLR 5/17/15 wjamflanQuote |

They scrapped the CDs. I’m pretty sure the mp3 was ripped directly from the vinyl, so the vinyl is most likely fast, too. VOODOOQuote |

ron (11774) | Is this MP3 source (that I haven’t heard, and don’t have) any different from the WMA source that was shared last week? Maybe whomever did the MP3 source had a turntable that ran fast? ronQuote |

I find it odd that it is exactly at 440 pitch when VH was always known to play at least a half step down. I’ll drag out my turntable tomorrow and check out my LP, but regardless, they didn’t play at standard tuning, so the recording I have is fast. VOODOOQuote |

drjazz (71) | Had a good chance to listen to these in detail. Best show I thought was San Diego 79, but unfortunately it wasn’t transferred sooner What are your thoughts? drjazzQuote |
