src (1646) | My money would be on the edited highlights, one thing for sure if it sounds to good to be true than it is,i may be wrong, but it just seems like if someone had somethig this great they would try to sell it are if they are fans like us they might share it,it would be hard as hell to just sit on it. srcQuote |

gatomike26 (458) | They have brought lots of shows out on the Metallica board metpage but it costs money but in the last two years members have got togeather and got even a few 80s shows out and some nice proshots from the early 90s and some other decent stuff. You have to know who has these shows and then be willing to pay.Thats how many of the old shows were released in the old days especialy proshot in house feeds.I hate to think about buying bootlegs but this is not some NYBC show that there are better versions from the same tour floating around. This is classic unreleased vh shows. The question is who has this stuff do they know they have it and why are they sitting on it.I doubt someone real close to the band is gonna let it out. I always wonder why nobody ever asks the band in interviews about this shit or at meet and greets or when getting an autograph. But until someone has real proof besides words I call bs as far as 84 shows go if they have it all they need to do is show some screens and a youtube capture and offers would really be coming at them. For now I call bullshit but if something does get released I won’t be suprised. gatomike26Quote |

A new guy posted this at the Roth Army… Although this is my first post on the Army, I’ve enjoyed the website for a while now. I’ve been a CVH fan all my life. A friend recently gave me a copy of the complete video of the band’s 1983 show in Montevideo, Uruguay. In the 80′s, his ex-wife worked at a company which did business with the band’s management, and she was able to access the band’s library of recordings. The recording is similar to that of the other concerts in circulation from that tour, including the A/V quality, although the band has a bit more energy on this one, and the crowd was really into it the whole night. His ex was able to copy quite a bit of material back then, including several complete proshots from different tours with Dave which are not in circulation yet. I saw the list of recordings he has, and the best way to describe it is that it’s a goldmine. Aside from the Uruguay show, the only other footage he showed me was of a proshot of one of the 1984 shows; the camerawork and video quality is amazing. I had to ask him about the Grail, and his ex wasn’t able to find anything, just the three videos of the Oakland show already in circulation. I’m sure most of you are doubting the existence of the Uruguay recording, as it’s been almost thirty years since the show. So I’ve posted a clip of the night’s last song, YRGM, on YouTube, for which I’m attaching the link below. I’d like to share the concert video, and I’m now working on cleaning up the A/V. I hope you all enjoy the clip. All the best. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1r8QG76QxY Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings. VAiNQuote |

gatomike26 (458) | So why are members of this board not all over this guy like flies on shit. This stuff should be in the hands of true professionals like BTB productions. If this was meptage they would probably have someone down in Miami running survalence on his house with a briefcase of money ready to act.LOL. In all serious he says he wan’ts to share so that a good first step he was not fishing for money. The thing is we need more proof about the other shows and this one.He just claims to have seen one other one (but it is a 1984 proshot) and only has possession of one and he never has seen anything else but a list. He showed us a clip that he might of been taped off of TV in Urguay for all we know. It’s just weird when something like this comes up around April fools day.For someone’s first post in a major VH forum like Roth Army it’s pretty unusual. I hope it’s true but we will see. gatomike26Quote |

Mark (175) | Doesn’t VH realize their fans would love to see vintage shows released? I think they are the only band that will not release this stuff. MarkQuote |

jabbo5150 (337) | I’ve no doubt all this stuff exists. It’s just a matter of people letting it out. I’ve certainly never seen Ed playing YRGM on the double neck. jabbo5150Quote |

This is what made me realise this guy knows what he’s doing …it’s the easiest way to spot it’s not any of the south ams that have already been released, a lot of that footage was probably shot by the same crew so a lot of the angles are similar to Argentina and Caracas. DecatoneQuote |

Dave (2308) | Wow. This too is my favorite VH live show. It’s interesting because You Really Got Me has never shown up on any recording of the Uruguay show. The last song was Ain’t Talkin Bout Love, but people have speculated that the end of the show was not released because VH never ended with that song. So for that reason alone, we’d have the whole show, finally. I don’t say this too often, but this is one of those shows I would pay almost any amount of money for. Stay Frosty DaveQuote |
