Rad, if you mean first gen as in straight from the tv when it was aired then it could have been? The thing is with the South Am stuff it’s a case of getting the best video (when it was aired) copy then transfering that to disc which is what I was hoping the guy in Peru would do if he originally tape it from tv, then get a good colour corrected transfer to disc done. The only thing with the tv edit version is one or at least two of the cams have bad horizontal lines how this happened I don’t know, I can’t see them airing it like that? There was a guy how claimed a friend of his had the original tv tapes for each cam that he got from his dad all a little hard to believe, I did track him down to a guitar store in South Am where he teaches guitar, that came though the old Diamond Dave site days, but when pushed disappeared.

However, Van Halen’s Sao Paulo performance blows away the sloppy US Festival exhibition which detailed the pitfalls of substance abuse!
