I would think something good is coming..
With the timing of the leaked stuff from 07-08 may be the doco will go from the beginning and include the various changes of the band up until the current day..

I’d say Wolf was a big part of the doco happening and Mike being included..

Van Halen is not involved, per Eddie Trunk. Anyone know who’s making it?

Will be a shame if Ed & Al aren’t involved but if what Trunk says is correct they won’t be…

MICHAEL ANTHONY Interviewed For Upcoming VAN HALEN Documentary

MICHAEL ANTHONY Interviewed For Upcoming VAN HALEN Documentary
On Saturday, January 6, former VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony was interviewed for a documentary about the legendary rock band which is being produced by a British company.

Anthony posted a photo on his Instagram account taken immediately after the interview, along with the caption: “Filmed an interview today for a Van Halen documentary in the works. Brought up many great memories! I’ll let you all know when it will air. Cameraman John on the left worked video camera on our monsters of rock tour with AC/DC in Europe!!#vanhalen #rememberingthebesttimes #VHROCKED #greatmemories”

Also expected to be interviewed for the documentary is radio personality Eddie Trunk, who said that he didn’t believe the project was sanctioned or authorized by the Van Halen brothers Alex and Eddie.

Anthony told the “Trunk Nation” show last year that “now’s the time” for VAN HALEN’s classic lineup to reunite, especially since ex-VAN HALEN singer Sammy Hagar has been vocal about his desire to take part in a reunion tour, with him and David Lee Roth taking turns performing their classic VAN HALEN numbers. The bassist said: “If we did, like, an hour with one singer and then an hour with another singer, you never know — there might be a lot of people that don’t wanna come for the first hour, or don’t wanna come for the second singer, or whatever. This way you mix it up and everybody’s gotta stay for everything. And believe me, if something like that came to fruition, I guarantee there wouldn’t be one person who would leave that show disappointed with anything — with either singer, probably.”

Anthony went on to say that a VAN HALEN reunion involving all the original members plus Hagar would only happen if “everybody was equally excited to do it. Because you don’t wanna go out and have it be work, you don’t wanna do it and have people say, ‘Well, they’re doing it just for the money,’” he explained. “I wanna truly go out there and just kick ass and give the people everything, and that’s what it would have to be.”

Anthony, Hagar, Alex and Eddie Van Halen last teamed up in 2004 for a U.S. summer tour. In exchange for taking part in the tour, Anthony reportedly had to agree to take a pay cut and sign away his rights to the band name and logo.

In 2007, the Van Halen brothers, Wolfgang Van Halen and Roth announced they would be hitting the road for a reunion tour. Anthony later told Music Radar that he “found out about that tour like everybody else did — in the press.”

Anthony has played primarily with Hagar in the 14 years since he last performed with VAN HALEN, in groups like CHICKENFOOT and THE CIRCLE.

$5 says this documentary comes out before Wolf’s album.

And I don’t think the documentary will ever come out… 8-O
