Don’t Back Down 4:38 ———————————————————————————————————- Notes: Bought a pit ticket for this show last October and figured I would decide where to record from as it got closer. I usually prefer to do stacks at these large stadium shows, but the pit was nowhere near full at 530pm, so I would have looked like a dead duck standing by myself out in front of the stack. So I found a group of people dead center in front of the catwalk and stood behind them literally on the yellow strip the power cords run under. I did not anticipate the heat being a factor (high was 85) and wore a black tshirt with cargo pants to the show. During the MWVH set, we had the sun right over us and it felt like 100 or hotter with the white hard plastic beneath us shooting the sun right back up. By the last song of this Mammoth set, I was feeling dizzy, faint and like I was going to pass out. I persevered tho and made it to the concourse to rest and drink a cold bottle of water. I was still very tired and shaky, but started to feel better. Heat exhaustion is no joke, always dress appropriately and stay hydrated! I will next time. Opening for Foo Fighters. The Pretenders were also on the bill. [both recorded]. ——————————————————————————————————— https://www.guitars101.com/threads/mammoth-wvh-2024-07-25-great-american-ball-park-cincinnati-oh-aud-flac.818124/
