mcs5150(1096) | Something I noticed on the ebay listing: “2012 will mark the end of the limited edition run of one of a kind hand striped guitars, which are striped, played live, and signed by Eddie himself. There is a very limited number of these guitars left. On May 22, 2012, Eddie will play the last and final Handstriped Art Series guitar, and this limited program will conclude, and will not be repeated.”

My recollections are kind of vague on this – but if I remember correctly – they were in a video from around a year ago or so. The video was shot at the factory where Ed’s guitars are made. In fact, seeing those Art Series guitars in the video was looked upon as a clue that Van Halen must be planning on touring again.

Actually, the guitars being played on this tour were supposed to be used on the last tour…but then a few mishaps occured in early 08…this is why the last one will be played in May…as opposed to having two for every show on the tour!

Is there a massive difference in tone to the Charvels and the EVH Fenders live when you are at a gig as it’s hard to tell on a dvd?
