Without really thinking about it – I just attribute that to his wife being a publicist who knows that keeping Ed’s face “visible” is good for selling EVH guitars & gear.

I understand that everybody wants new music and for the band be more active. But I’m not going to sugarcoat this, or beat around the bush. This rumor that Fudd has spread is completely, 100% untrue. NOTHING in the rumor is true. I am not saying that I merely THINK that none of it is true, or that I have BEEN TOLD that none of it is true. I am saying that I KNOW that none of it is true.
I know that a lot of people are clinging to the hope that when I said that this rumor was false, I was either knowingly, or unknowingly, being used as some sort of smokescreen for the band. They are hoping that Fudd & I are BOTH right. They are hoping that all of what Fudd is saying is true, and that I asked the band (or representative of the band) if it’s true, and they told me no, and then I simply relayed the (false) message. I’m not at all surprised that some people are hoping that’s how this went down. But I can tell you that the reality is nothing like that at all. When I say “none” of it is true, of course I mean that none of it’s true beyond the two facts that everyone already knew (those being Dave and Wolfgang are indeed in the band, and that Wolfgang is indeed still planning on releasing his own album). None of the exciting details in the rumor are happening, and none of that activity is currently being planned by the band. Right now, the only VH activity is that Wolf is planning to continue to work on his solo release.

Most telling for me is how the weekly messages from Dave on social media suddenly stopped in October. We all know what that meant in the past, and are probably thinking the same now. Will it be true? For us, only time will tell.

Gilligan(1518) | I don’t doubt people “in the industry” are hearing rumblings about “Van Halen” and “new music” and various potential dates. My guess, however, is everything folks are hearing has to do with Wolf’s solo release. Which is quite frankly taking way too long.
