 JonHep (4) | How doos. Just to say hi, have been a Van Halen fan since early ’80s and keep going back to them. Still remember the issue of Guitar Player where Steve Vai taught us how to play Eruption which got me up and running. Am fascinated by the Brown sound and have owned many amps in a search to get it. Currently loving the Axe Fx. Am awaiting with interest what Eddie’s new El34 plexi style amps is going to sound like. Also love Uli Roth, Blackmore and Allan Holdsworth. A few years ago I listening to the tape interview with Jas Obrecht when it was on Youtube and have been trying to get hold of it ever since, which lead me to this site. I can remember some really interesting candid talk about Allan Holdsworth who is another hero of mine. Hoping to make a connection to get hold of that again. Looking forward to talking to you guys. I see some of you guys are Uli Roth fans. I have a Sky Guitar, which Uli played at a gig in Newcastle last year. That amp collection is to die for. I had a Bray 45/50 which was great but it was based off a JTM45 circuit rather than a plexi so not quite as much punch as his best work, Got the frankie pickup in my main gigging axe,m which also has a malmsteen scalloped neck. JonHepQuote |
