single-8 (222) | don’t put the drive internally into the computer if it has a operating system on it.that probably will cause problems…I would use a dock and connect it up thru a USB port.. single-8Quote |

VOODOO (2375) | I’ve hooked up a crashed OS as a slave, pulled all the files off of it and then wiped it out without any problems. I also bought a docking station for doing the same thing and that is much quicker and easier, but, unless there is a virus or some other risk to the new HDD, I think you can do it either way.
