OK, I’m going to play stupid here…what was the big deal that the Flames started their 4th line? Why would that indicate that there might be a fight to start the game? AND, if Torts saw that their 4th line was starting, why not take the high road and just not play the head games with the Flames coach?

The Blackhawks have actually been playing their fourth line against the opponents first line for weeks. Then again The Hawks fourth line can skate. If Torts had a brain he would of had his first line out there. He took the bait hook line and sinker. Especially when he put Bieksa of all people to take the draw. Not the first time Torts has fallen for this. He had a hearing in NYC today he will get a huge fine and sit out a game or two. Its always about him, that’s why he is out of New York. I thought when the Canucks hired him it was a very dumb move, looks like I was pretty much on the money.

If he had put his first line out there, would there have been a brawl?

The Red Wings are missing nine starters, to include both goalies. So almost half the guys playing are from the Grand Rapids Griffins. The only upside to all this is that some of the young guys they called up are really playing well and this should hopefully make the team’s management seriously consider pushing some of the old timers out the door at the end of the season. Unless the goalie stands on his head – they don’t have a chance against Chicago.

Always fun to watch The Hawks and The Wings. To me they have the best two coaches in the league.

was a great game, whenever it comes to free hockey of late the hawks just don’t got it
12 OT – OT/Shootout losses (worth one point) (detroit & new jersey are the only ones close with 10 & 11)
