Fair Waring stage #1 Chicago Amp 81, awesome ! “mean streets” backdrop ,sound was shit but when you see RUSH and VAN HALEN in same spring summer for the first time as a 8th grader, who the hell wants KISS anymore. 1984 stage huge just the same ,the show of shows ! I’ll post pro shot stuff I have from both after I win the lottery and buy them off horders and on ” not to trade lists ” stay tuned :)

1981 and 1984 were my 2 favorites. The stages were huge back then and they were young and all over the place as well.

I liked 1986, 2004 and 2012 (although they should keep the lighting rig out of the way of the screen), 1984 was good as was 1981. The only one I couldn’t stand was 2007-2008. The stage is secondary though … the better question is what tour had your favorite set list.

I like the look of the 5150 stage with the grid mess flooring.

Without question: FAIR WARNING / WDFA Tour — 4th of July, 1981. Cobo Hall, Detroit. 10th row floor tix, but upfront by the second song (Sinners Swing!) … amazing because it looked like they threw it together, shit hanging from the rafters, etc. awesome. what a rock ‘n’ roll party, I’ll never forget. A life changer….

Kaloway – you want the poster is PT5150′s post #21891? I have that poster in the trunk of my car right now – it’s in a box of VH stuff that I was giving away THIS MORNING, but didn’t meet up with the guy (he was off for President’s Day). Get back to me quick – if that’s the one you want, I’ll pull it for you.
