thanks Dutchie. Yeah there are a few flaws that Fender missed but the only one I really fixed (didn’t want to mess up a nice factory finish guitar anymore than I needed to) was a pretty simple one and believe it or not, I did it with a sharpie. If you have a copy of the coffee table EVH book that came out a couple years back you can clearly see that on the top horn on the bottom they have white where it needs to be black. I’ll try and post a pic of how I fixed it. Took about 5 mins and looks good.

I doubt Fender missed those flaws. I would imagine they were done on purpose. The 3 other Striped Series have slight flaws too. Most people wouldn’t pick them, but “us VH nuts” pick up on them straight away…. :)

Using a sharpie is a good idea. I was just curious on how you did it. I thought you might of used paint or something…

I’m thinking instead of a popsicle stick i’m going to have a piece of wood cut and glue that in.. basically a shim. I imagine there will be some sanding involved to dial it in.. but I got nothing but time.
