mrmojohalen (6467) | I bet they are recording a new album & recording the making of it to include in the doco. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

That would be a super cool thing to do, so my immediate reaction is ‘no way’ with these guys… but it would be a nice build-up to the album. Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings. VAiNQuote |

That’s interesting cuz I’ve heard it is a new album … of course, what do I know … I’ve also heard there is a new Pink Floyd album in the works and I find that hard to believe … so who knows … time will tell frankmQuote |

VAiN (2777) | I’ll take what I can get. It’s kind of nice that there’s actually something to be talking about in VH-land, even if we have no idea what it is. Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings. VAiNQuote |

That’s the way it usually goes. There are those that claim to know or may actually know but can’t say because they know they’ll be cut off from future info, but as for the rest of us it’s always just speculation until Van Halen is good and ready to let us know. I swear this band is better at keeping secrets than our government. sickmanQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | I would assume that all of the interviews they released in 2012 will be included in the documentary and it will be broken up into segments with some possible live footage and “Behind the Scenes” stuff that was shot on the road on that tour as well. They may go out on a brief tour? I know they say they don’t like to tour without a new CD, but they did tour for the BOBW with the three new songs, so who knows? Maybe a couple unreleased tracks from the ADOKT sessions will be added? One other scenario (although I find it highly unlikely) is that they release this documentary with some little extras and then do a short 30-40 city tour while the new CD is being finalized. Then release the new material and head back out for another “World Tour”, although their tours don’t see very “worldly” lately. US, Canada, one show in Australia and a handful of shows in Japan isn’t really “the world”, but it’s better than 50 shows in the US and Canada and calling it a “World Tour”, so… I doubt highly they’re looking to put this much into any projects at this stage in the game. I can see the documentary being done, since it was most likely all shot in 2011 and 2012 while they reunited. Maybe it will go back to 2006 when they first started rehearsing with Wolf and Dave? I doubt they would want a lot of that footage released, since Ed was still a but volatile then. Either way, I think whatever this project will be, it was 90% in the can after the 2012 tour was done, so I’m not expecting a new CD. Possibly a couple leftovers from the ADOKT sessions, but nothing else. VOODOOQuote |

OK, that makes a bit more sense than a full blown album, I guess that was too much to hope for. I would love to see them live one last time but that may also be a dream. Back on Van Halen … it would be great if they did something like Rush did with Snakes And Arrows (a new album and a documentary about the recordings of the album). But again that might be asking a bit much. Whatever happens I look forward to it. frankmQuote |

PT5150 (6290) | If I remember correct wasn’t there a few people saying back when ADKOT was being made there was a documentary being filmed and the interviews we were getting were going towards it?? EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |

mrmojohalen (6467) | Didn’t Ed say awhile back that he could see himself working with Wolf for many years to come ? When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

Cover of Guitar World from 2012. “I see us doing this for a long, long, time!” But, I think Ed isn’t always honest with himself, and the things he says. The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!! jroundyQuote |

VAiN (2777) | I recall Wolf stating in interviews that they recorded more material than ADKOT.. a few finished songs from those sessions would be amazing.. I figure we’ll hear something around the Fall. Touring would be nice. Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings. VAiNQuote |
