When Dave mentioned Monster Truck Rally in that recent video……I figured he was referring to some sort of festival, like Ozzfest, or Cruefest.

Maybe, Van Halen are thinking of doing some sort of Monsters of Rock thing again?

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!

sickman: Yes, but that was then, this is now. I think Van Halen is on the right track to just stay headliners in arenas but with a good classic rock support act, not a co-headliner. To me it’s a cop out for not wanting to play 2 hours and cut your set down to 70 minutes.

From my experience, when two big acts co-headline, they don’t cut down the length of their show. To do so is to tacitly admit that you’re not really worthy of being a headline-level act anymore.

When I saw AIC with velvet revolver it was billed as a coheadline and they both played shorter sets. Same goes for Alice Cooper/Rob Zombie and Godsmack/Staind co-headline tours.
