PT5150 (6290) | Not that big a deal but still it’s Ed. Better than the real things.. Eddie Van Halen leaves doctor’s office, hits e-cigarette http://www.soallegedly.com/2013/11/10/eddie-van-halen-leaves-doctors-office-hits-e-cigarette/ Eddie Van Halen availed himself of the newest in debauchery technology as he puffed an e-cigarette after leaving a medical building in Brentwood this morning. Widely regarded as one of the best guitarists in history, Eddie and the rest of Van Halen recently appeared in a South Park episode promoting world peace. EDDIE’S fingers aren’t fingers they are muscle-powered pistons that hammer guitar strings to the fretboard with the force of a rivet gun”. PT5150Quote |

sickman (2380) | he looks better than 2004 but I agree, the shorter hair at his age will make him look younger. sickmanQuote |

guitard (7354) | He’s looking kind of old … I suppose that’s because he is getting old. Not to mention it’s not a staged picture, so you are getting a glimpse of how he looks when he’s not at a concert or doing a photo shoot, etc. guitardQuote |

I agree 100%. Some appear to forget that Ed will be 59 next month. As great as we all think he is, he is not above aging like the rest of us. What’s really sad is how many of the true greats will stop performing in the next 10 or 12 years. I tell my freinds if you are going to see a group and none of the members are at least 50 years old, chances are the group will suck! videoman320Quote |

vhrob (1742) | I think Edward looks good and is back on track and I am no one to say what he or anyone else should do. I guess I liked ed with the long hair back in the 70s 80s and 90s but I just think that at 60 years old the long hair looks kinda monsterish these days. Short hair is younger looking and a better fit. But that’s just my opinion nothing else. Long or short hair I wish him the best and hope for another album, tour and a crap ton of rare old recordings to be released. Rob vhtrading member since 2000 vhrobQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | I like the long hair. I always thought he looked like a different person with the short hair. GilliganQuote |

mrmojohalen (6468) | I don’t mind the long hair – It’s just that he looks more hippie or Ozzy like. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

No if you don’t like groups with members under 50 your getting older also does not mean they suck. I’m almost there at 36. I stopped getting into most new bands around the late ’90s. Most of the music I listen to is bands from the ’70s and ’80s and ’90s, with a few from the ’60s. I could not tell you much about anything that happened in new music in the last ten years, but I bet someone in they’re teens and 20s can. Yeah it sucks there will be no live performances in the next 10 to 12 years, but they have got so expensive, unless it’s a band I really love or have not seen that much, I go to less and less shows each year (many times I need to check clips out on youtube, watch a bootleg, or check the setlist to see if a show is worth going to). Good thing for the internet and bootlegs and all the other ways to enjoy music that is not so costly. gatomike26Quote |
