Agreed! That crazy smile is one of a kind.

Gotta say, I watched the facebook clips and Dave’s voice sounds really good. Tour ready, perhaps….

I like the band with the brass section and back-up singers it sound awesome but I would love if Dave could stay in the same octave.

I watched the clips and just cant buy in……..then late last night on VH1 Classic “Yankee Rose” video came on – I can’t believe that is the same guy. If you had shown me this video clip in 1987 and said this is what David Lee Roth will be doing 30 years from now in in 2017 I would have laughed you out of the room.

He is a cartoon character these days. I am really struggling to buy in.

I call him embarrassing Uncle Dave now. It sucks, because I know exactly what you are saying. Who isn’t different than they were 30 years ago, but damn…. the cool guy that was, is no more. I would still rather listen to him embarrass himself than to have to suffer through Sammy “not on my bucket list” Hagar though….

Completely agree… it’s a shame he is so very different. I always liked Dave more than Sammy, but at least Sammy is more like he used to be than what Dave has become.

I enjoy Dave’s quirkiness. Yes, I wish he was more “badass” too, but he’s certainly comfortable in his own skin! I often think about who I would like to sit next to on a 5 hour flight. Dave’s always been near the top of my list (after the requisite supermodels). I bet he’s fascinating, but a part of me thinks it would be terrible too! I’d still like to find out.

Yeah… you might find out your hero is a nut. In the 80′s I wanted to be Dave, now in 2017 I don’t. I would still take his money though…

I’m guessing you missed his 1985 EP Crazy From The Heat & videos California Girls & Just A Gigalo….They were all over MTV in the mid ’80′s.

It’s pretty much sort of the same thing now.

I suspect he’ll still be doing this kinda thing into his late 80′s or ’90′s.
