VOODOO (2375) | Well, from all of the conversations about what was coming up and the info we’ve been given in the past, when Dave said they were working on a new Van Halen project and that it would take “about 18 months” to get the production, packaging and promotion in place and that was 18 months ago. I estimated it would be some time in February of this year that we would hear what the project was. I think we’re just days to weeks away now. VOODOOQuote |

Right, the episodes are still around, just not available from the official Roth Show page anymore. They are still on YouTube though, just marked as “private”. Alt source, Season 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4HLLEpsT_A&list=PLiOaYYr-9hMRFW7fA5I2lMEX69p3vX8yh ronQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | So has anyone heard anything new about this? I am assuming that the site will relaunch once the tour dates are announced. It seems only the Van Halen Store is interested in advertising and promoting the upcoming live album and remasters. VOODOOQuote |

sickman (2380) | Based on what Jeff posted at VHL this news broke a lot sooner than VH had planned on. My guess is that they are using Jeff to somewhat satisfy the diehards that even know VHstore and VH message boards exist and that Van Halen and DLR are sticking to the timeline they originally planned on to “Officially” release the information. I would bet they are waiting on the final details of the upcoming tour to be worked out and will announce the new live cd along with tour dates. sickmanQuote |

It seems to me that various arms of the record label are the ones that couldn’t stay on the timeline, as evidenced by the multiple places listing the discs/albums for sale, and the seeding of others like Amazon. The fact some DJ in Canada broke the news doesn’t negate all the other listings, which would have spilled the beans without that DJ. ronQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | Yeah, kinda what I expected to happen when his site went dark. I had been waiting for February for an announcement. It was obvious by Jeff’s post at VHND he was trying to get the info out, but was waiting for approval. I was just curious if anyone had any actual direct info. I’ll go back to waiting for the media blitz to kick in. I had a feeling it would come out around this time, since Ed was doing the Smithsonian thing tomorrow. What better vehicle to get the news out to the press? What do I know?! VOODOOQuote |

That would make too much sense for VH to do. Remember, they usually do the exact OPPOSITE of what common sense would dictate when it comes to marketing. This is the same band that put out the exclusive She’s the Woman 7″ record in 2012, two weeks AFTER Record Store Day. JasonAQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | Well, they did actually mention the upcoming live album in the interview for the event tonight, even though they stated it was still waiting for a release date when we already know the pending date is March 31st. At least there was an acknowledgement. VOODOOQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | I wonder why Dave’s website and social media are all still black. I thought they would go live with the release of the album and announcement of the tour. Strange. VOODOOQuote |
