PT5150 (6290) | GnR want $3 MILLION a show….. U.S. music industry magazine Billboard says that it has obtained “confirmation” that GUNS N’ ROSES, featuring singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash, will headline next year’s edition of the Coachella Music And Arts Festival, set to take place April 15-17 and April 22-24 in Indio, California. The band is also in talks to play as many as 25 football stadiums in North America in the summer of 2016. In addition, GN’R will be one of the first acts to play the new Las Vegas Arena, set to open April 6. GUNS N’ ROSES is said to be asking up to $3 million per show, with tickets topping out in the $250-$275 range. Mink (2663) | I would love to see GN’R, however, there is no way I’m paying $250 plus to see them. Axl’s voice is horrible. I would rather see Slash with Myles Kennedy then with Axl. The set list will be awesome, but noway on the price. MinkQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | I’d pay up to $60 or so. Has great potential, even with a singer who’s best years are behind him. GilliganQuote |

Panamaniac (207) | Nice idea and all but without Izzy or Adler, the real GNR this ain’t; Izzy gave them the boozy bluesy element and Adler was the most important element IMO with his very simple hard-hitting rhythm and restrained fills; his style of playing really defined Appetite’s raw and vicious feel and no one since has been able to re-capture that. In the band’s defense, maybe they didn’t want to recapture that with Illusion, which is fine if they wanted to get “artsy”, but to me, the classic GNR sound will always be Appetite. PanamaniacQuote |

VAiN (2777) | Ehhh…. not interested. Really a shame if they can’t get the other 2 guys involved. Is Adler healthy enough to tour? Resident dickhead. I will hurt your delicate feelings. VAiNQuote |

Actually it would be like having Dave, Ed & Mike but no Alex. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | I didn’t realize Slash has been out of the band since 1993!? Where does the time go…? I’d be more excited if Adler was in – mostly for the accelerated train wreck potential – but it looks like we’ll have to be happy with the big 3 of Axl, Slash and Duff. I can take or leave Izzy – seems like you wouldn’t really notice if he was there or not anyway, unless you were really looking out for him. GilliganQuote |
