guitard (7354) | I’ve noticed that whenever a beach ball is bouncing around out in the audience within the first 20 rows or so, Dave usually asks the fans to send it up to the stage (so he can get rid of it). They really seem to be a big distraction to him and he seems to take the matter of getting rid of the them pretty seriously. I find them to be rather annoying myself, but that’s because I’m usually filming whenever I go to a show. I wonder why Dave has an issue with them? guitardQuote |

It draws attention away from him. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

mrmojohalen (6468) | The last time I saw Metallica, they dropped thicker type beach balls onto the crowd. One hit me on the head & it was rather annoying because I couldn’t focus on the show. This was at the end during one of my fav songs “Seek & Destroy”. When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |

guitard (7354) | A few songs later in the show I’m watching (Nashville 2012), Dave said: Be careful of the beach balls guys. Somebody got hit from behind with his glasses and he got his eye poked and we had a problem the other night. It’s a lot of fun until it hits you in the back when you can’t see. Send the beach balls up front. And I’ll be the only fucking juvenile delinquent in the house tonight. guitardQuote |

I remember this. In the history of live concerts, I wonder how many times this has happened to someone ? When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor? mrmojohalenQuote |
