Gilligan (1518) | Wow, that’s quite a list! Here’s a dumb question. Let’s say I have an audio bootleg on CD that I’d like to trade online. What would I do to properly rip it to my computer in a trade-worthy format? In the past I’ve just copied the CD and mailed it. Almost all of my trade boots are on my computer as mp3s (for personal use – don’t worry) with the CD safely stored in a book. Thanks. GilliganQuote |

gatomike26 (458) | Just copy and paste the file(if it’s files then you put it into a folder on your pc just depends if it’s already in a folder on the disc) that’s on the Audio CD and put it on your hard drive, you can put it wherever you want on your pc that you store your music files. Then you can make it into a torrent or use dropbox to trade. gatomike26Quote |

JasonA (1118) | Rip the CD to FLAC using Trader’s Little Helper or any other program that encodes FLACs. FLACs work just like mp3s – you can tag the files with metadata, etc. – except they’re lossless. JasonAQuote |

Gilligan (1518) | Ok, thanks, guys. I figured it was something easy. I have xAct on my Mac which encodes FLACs, I believe… GilliganQuote |
