VOODOO (2375) | https://www.youtube.com/@digitalsplit9312/videos This guy has some cool tracks with vocals removed as well as isolated instruments in variations arrangements (band with no bass, band with no drums, just bass and drums, etc…). He has a wide variety of music from Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Twisted Sister, Deep Purple, Queesryche and the Scorpions, to Dwight Yoakam, Roy Orbison, Scandal, Rick James, Roxxette, Huey Lewis, Pat Benetar, Train and tons more. He even has some Brady Bunch! LOL Cool little site to waste some time. I added a couple VH related links below. There are some others I’ve found, but we already have the isolated tracks for them from the Guitar Hero rips from years ago. Secrets instrumental - Dreams instrumental - Amsterdam instrumental - Don’t forget, you can save them by adding 5s between youtube and .com. VOODOOQuote |

vhrob (1742) | yeah I been checking that dudes stuff out. Basically ripped all the VH stuff (basically all the songs they wrote to include live versions too) w no vocals…. WOW does the guitar stuff sound amazing. I prefer to listen to all these vs the regular cause you can hear all the music. Ed was right…. the music stands by itself Rob vhtrading member since 2000 vhrobQuote |

VOODOO (2375) | OK, so I went through the whole YouTube page and grabbed all of the Van Halen instrumental tracks. There is a TON of other bands and musicians on here that I am going to go back through and check out again. He has everything from Dolly Parton to Testament. I grabbed a few White Lion, Whitesnake, Steely Dan, Queensryche and Randy Rhoads tracks here and there, too. So, back to the Van Halen stuff, I didn’t bother with the other edits with isolated instruments or the few live tracks. When they try to grab single instruments, the audio is just too muddy and garbled. They’re stripping too many frequencies out of the tracks and what’s left is unlistenable…to me anyway. The instrumental tracks are really nice (from what I’ve listened to thus far). There are only a few spots in some songs, mostly Sammy era, where the vocals bleed into the guitar frequencies or the guitar bleeds into the vocal frequencies, but it’s minimal and doesn’t take away from the music overall. When Ed uses the wah pedal, those notes tend to get filtered, since he swells in and out of those vocal frequencies as well. Lastly, this guy didn’t limit himself to any specific eras as he covers all 3 eras as well as tracks from ADKOT where he filtered every track except “You and Your Blues”. So, here are all of the instrumental tracks I snagged: Ain’t Talkin Bout Love Light Up the Sky Fools Dirty Movies Where Have All the Good Times Gone? I went back to compare the Digital Split (Youtube) version to the official instrumental of Amsterdam. I think the Youtube guy did a good job. You can hear some differences, but they are minor. ronQuote |

Back when Atlas Music Publishing acquired the rights to Van Halen, they published instrumental versions of a bunch of tracks, including: I think all those tracks went offline when Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings acquired Atlas Music Publishing back in 2019. ronQuote |

kaloway (2021) | Just my 2 cents here… These postings are what VH is all about. Yes the lyrics defined an era of the band but the musical trio is the foundation for every song made. I’ll say it, some of the lyrics were WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU THINKING???? but yet an incredible instrumental backing. I first noticed this on RHRN with the faster pleasure dome instrumental to Al’s solo. Freakin’ loved that part. Then I wondered how cool it would have been in later years of the band ED, AL, & Wolf just sitting in 5150 playing tunes and fine tuning the art….. kalowayQuote |

There are around 45 tracks on the 3 disc instrumental compilation, plus about 150 tracks from the YouTube guy. What other tracks are you looking for? ronQuote |
