guitard: Just my personal opinion . . . if Mike got a call from 5150 . . . I think he’d be there as fast as humanly possible.

My reasoning for this is: a lot of the dysfunction in Van Halen stems (or should I say “stemmed”) from Ed’s alcoholism. However, for the first time since Mike has known him – Ed is sober and much more functional than he was in the past.

I agree that Mike would go back in a heart beat… The problem is, he won’t be getting any calls….

It all depends on how much Ed has moved on since getting sober.

If Al developed any more problems with his neck, and couldn’t play. I see Wolf playing the drums, and Mike coming back to play bass. Other than that, I don’t think Mike will ever be back, unless Wolf tells his dad, that he should call Mike. Even then, Ed might just decide to retire, and sell gear. From all available information, Ed is definitely the least motivated member of the band.

The poor folks play for keeps down here…They’re the living dead. Nobody rules these streets at night like Van Halen!!
