It’s a one hour program.

My gut tells me it’s the 3 songs from Showtime.

This is on all the time and there is no VH footage at all.

VH must of really put the clamp down on that footage! even though people bag on it bc they were wasted… I don’t mind the show. there’s a couple drunken parts, but nothing overly glaring to me. They always had fun on stage any way :-P

It’s one of my favorites. I think they (Dave especially) get better and better as the show goes on.

The last three or four times this was aired…there was NO Van Halen…but yes! it’s the original Showtime presentation…considerably cut down.

Historic Films and the Shout Factory acquired the rights to the film footage of the US Festival. I thought somewhere on their site (historic films) several months ago they had announced they were going to release everything a little at a time, at least that was the plan at the time. They also had the footage from 1978 of Van Halen, one song from Portland Oregon…

I think its more of a fact lots of these bands just don’t own the rights to the footage. They really missed the mark a few years ago when Kiss was doing it with the Kissologies the market for dvds is not as hot as it once was.Besides they make more money going on tour and charging what they charge.

The sad fact is almost all the Van Halen DVDS are horrible or subpar anyways.

I much prefer the bootleg versions anyways, even lots of the Kiss stuff is better through the bootleg versions same with the AC/DC stuff that was released but only portions of shows mainly. If Van Halen is not gonna make cool documentries to add to something like the usfest show or release unreleased much rumored or sought after footage I prefer what the filmers and authors bring to the table.

One band that does pretty good with releasing dvds is Iron Maiden maybe Van Halen could lean something from them and this.

Maiden certainly knows how to please the fans by releasing yet another great dvd.

Looking forward to seeing them this summer doing the Maiden England tour.
