I’ve been working on the VH Stone Music Festival Bluray and I need your opinions before completing,,,, I am not very happy with outcome due The angles are shot from front of stage so we cant get any closer but there is a lot of shaking and movements which in my opinion doesn’t make it enjoyable to watch at times due to all those shakes… I’ve tried removing the shaking digitally but outcome was funky at times . So in order to fix this and make it enjoyable I tested some versions reducing color to remove most of the shaking effects and came up with 2 cool versions …. Black & White and Sephia ( Both of these settings make show more enjoyable but choosing between the two is why I ask your opinions )
Keep the color. It loses something without it. The light show, which was done really well this tour, it’s not nearly as impressive when robbed of the color.
Well I’ve seen MUCH worse shaking and I understand you want to put out a superior product. I have to agree, though, that removing the color doesn’t make it any more or less enjoyable and is actually distracting. I would prefer the unedited, full color edit, shaking or no shaking. Nice job, by the way!!
Here is an extreme example…. Yes I know the shake is still there but to me smoother bw. If this all doesnt bother you I will do it color……. I will make me a BW for myself

It doesn’t bother me that much. They look the same to me, but, personally, I prefer the color version.
I pretty much expect shakey camera work when it’s amateur shot, so it’s not horrible or difficult for me to watch it. Looking forward to seeing the final product!
ron: The shaking is bad in the colorversion, and looks about the same in the b/w version.
As the author, you know, and can see all the changes you made.But without leading the horses to water… I dunno if we’ll be able to see them.
Yes I guess this will be a matter of taste as working with video alot we tend to notice these little things that may not be the same for others The show is nice aside form these shakes so Color it will be
