vhrob: I’ll have to check my version when I get home tonight. I know I have it but not sure if mine is a 2 disc set or a one that I ripped from a VHS years ago. I do remember it being a kick ass show and your right Pete. Any time 5150 is played it’s always a great treat.Rob

Hey Rob
Great stuff..Please let us know if this above clip is the same as 2 disc set everyone seems to have?
Going by that footage it looks great and would love to get it.
Cheers

I haven’t watched and compared the whole song, but there’s a glitch in the video on the YouTube version that isn’t present on the 3disc DVD.

Is it from the same camera, that close do you think?

As good as the picture quality is on the you tube clip I would put up with a glitch or two. That picture blows away the 3 disc version.

So it sounds like this 3 disc set that mcs5150 put up http://www.jamtothis.com/showthread.php?p=198929 is not the same as that youtube clip..Correct?

How are you doing an apples-to-apples comparison? The resolution of the YT clip is too low to accurately compare. Or any I missing something? Is the 2disc version PAL like the 3disc version is?

I am all digital… I can play the YouTube clip side by side with the 3 Disc version. It’s the same source, but of course, the quality is better on the 3 Disc version, because you’re getting a cleaner source.

What is being torrented… is what you need, if you want what’s on the YouTube clip. Simple.

Just by watching both the you tube and my version I have on disc on my computer. The you tube has a better picture. You think it would be the other way around but my version seems a generation or two higher.

I’m an idiot! I was looking at the two disc version that I have and not the three disc. I have them in sleeves right next to each other and got them mixed up.

I must admit it is hard to tell with YT with some shows, to date most I’ve seen usually are the same gen when I turf out the actual disc.

I remember getting this show from a guy in Sweden plus the alternate angle which people are calling disc 3 some years back and it’s always been on the old VHT bootlist (shame we can’t get that back up?) I was never aware he was the filmer plus I can’t even remember if it was on vhs so as to a digital copy of the master vhs tape I guess the best thing would be to do the download. I’m pretty sure it’s the same guy as he was a big metallica fan.

Is the clip I put up from the 3 disc set or from another filmer ?
If there is a full show of these below clips on dvd this close, thats what I am after.

The person who uploaded it to JTT is Metallican. So I am guessing it is the same person.

It’s the same show …there’s one filmer for the full show and another angle of a few songs high up right side balcony from what I remember.

It’s been traded for sometime as a 2 disc with some people also having an extra disc (which is now called disc 3) which was filmed from a different location in the venue (off the top of my head I think that disc is towards the end of the show and begins with footage outside the venue?) I’m unable to check the discs right now. The main thing is if this is an upgrade then this is a replacement to the one’s out there. But for me as far as I remember, I got the discs from him in the first place? could be my puddled brain!

Neither. It’s not from the 3 disc show, as the 3 disc show doesn’t have the glitch present in the YouTube clip. It’s not from another filmer either. Same filmer, same show, better quality (on the 3 disc set).

My brain hurts from reading these posts…..so is this an upgrade or is it just like the 2 disc set?
