jorge (454) | http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=541257 Van Halen ** Contrast clause: This is a different recording than http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=540454 – different gear, different location, vastly inferior sound. ** 24 bit, 48 kHz Source: Tascam DR-05 omni internals recording at 24-48 (about 10 rows back, center section, slightly off center to Eddie’s side) 01. Light Up the Sky I screwed up and could only record this show with the DR-05′s internals. The result is a muddy, somewhat flat recording. I only put this up here in case someone wants to try and mix it with Datfly’s awesome recording of the same gig, which can be found here: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=540454. That one has Dave very high in the mix, which some find offputting (I don’t), and maybe this can be cured by a mix with this here. If anything, this has a balanced mix of the whole band. I decided to leave the recording in its original 24 bit, 48 kHz format, no EQ, no anything. The sound quality hardly warrants the 24 bit resolution, but I thought that IF this can be used for a 2-source mix, then it would be best to use the original files and not a dithered down version. *** If you just want to listen to this show, DO NOT get this torrent, get Datfly’s recording!! *** jorgeQuote |
