sims: artwork will be created… maybe ?

I am having a friend make artwork for the Bristow and Clarkston 2015 shows and the Chicago 2004 Chicago show. If anyone wants copies of these pm me your email address and I’ll email you the covers when I get them.

Is eruption1968 (or something like that) still active? That guy makes KILLER artwork.

I don’t normally collect the artwork, but even so, I’ve downloaded a couple of his because they were so cool looking.

I was contacted at Dime by someone who also shot the Clarkston show. He sounds like a pretty experienced filmer. So please hold off on further sharing the DVD9 and blu-ray versions, as there is a good chance I will re-work this one.

Any info on the footage ? Angle ? Full HD ? Complete show ?

When you turn on your stereo, does it return the favor?

Shot from the lawn (left side, I think) with the same camera you shot it with (Sony HX50V), full HD, everything except Jump. He’s been shooting video for several years, so I’m assuming it’s worth the trouble.

Is anything that he’s filmed circulating ?

Maybe I should upload a couple of my clips that might be useful. (different than what I shared earlier Randy) It’s not much, but maybe it can be used. Won’t be till next week though.

Will this new 3 camera (+ Ron’s = 4) be made into DVD5? Just askin’. I realize none of this is carved on stone.

By all means – please do so.

I’ll probably make another 2xDVD5 version. I stay really busy with multiple projects going all at once, so it all depends on whether the return on investment is worth it. In other words, if there is only going to be a slight gain in the overall quality of the project, it is worth all the work that goes into re-doing it?

I got the other (3rd) angle today.

It’s a tough call on whether to re-do this. The line of sight of this other angle is literally identical to Steecoe’s angle, but Steecoe was under the pavilion and the other shot is from the lawn. While it’s relatively steady and well framed, the picture quality is often kind of soft and washed out looking because of the sheer distance the filmer had to zoom in.

There are a few spots where I could insert this other footage, but it’s a question of is it worth it to put in what is a lot of work for what will only amount to a small increase in overall quality for something that is already finished and in the can. If it wasn’t already a finished production, I would definitely add it in. But for the reasons I’ve already mentioned, I’ve decided to just leave it as is.

So look for a release on Dime later this week – which will be a good opportunity to help upload and improve share ratio. Anyone who hasn’t had a chance to download the DVD9 or blu-ray – PM for a link.

You lazy bastard!!!

Seriously, by the sounds of it certainly not worth your time and effort to re-do it. I watched it last night and it is a great DVD. As always, thanks to all concerned.
