Howdy,

I posted this on the torrent thread over at DIME.
However, I was hoping one of my fellow VHT members could help me out.

Does anyone get the following message on their Playstation 3 during the first verse of RWTD “this is an invalid disc 80029906″ ?

My PS3 then goes black and takes me back to the system menu.
I tried to play tracks further in the setlist and received the same message.

I will admit that shortly after beginning the torrent (after downloading roughly five percent), I decided to move it to an external drive with more available space. I copied the directory and resumed from the external with no problems. Could this have corrupted the file structure?

Each file included in the torrent passed the MD5 verification prior to burning.
Input would be appreciated.

Thank You!

Steecoe, thank you for the quick response.
I thought my 4 year old PS3 was going tits up!
You’ve saved me some grief tonight.

I can’t watch the Phoenix disc on my PC either.
Hopefully, the author will be able to resolve the issue for us.
I’d hate to think I downloaded 21+ GB of data for nothing.

Thank you for all you’ve done for the Van Halen community!

:)

Quite disappointing, I had put the disc in the PS3 a couple hours ago, & the kids just fell asleep I was about to start watching this & saw your post!!

I am worried we did in fact downlaod it for nothing!

On the bright side, at least our PS3s aren’t to blame.
I was worried that my PS3 was dying and that I’d have to replace it just before the Playstation 4 hits the market.

I burned the disc with Imgburn and played it on my stand alone BD player. At 7:52 the disc freezes and after about 30 seconds or so it resumes at 48 minutes, the end of Pretty woman!

Does it play properly just viewing the files on a PC?

I see that steecoe mentions that it cannot.

Nope, the file set is FUBAR’d.

Here is the error that VLC gave me when I tried to play the downloaded files.

No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format “undf”. Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

I could never get the Phoenix DVD9 to burn properly either. Considering my ratio is dropping fast at DIME, I am glad I did not download the blu-ray. But it does suck for everybody that did.

Just posted on Dime by the uploader/author

[avatar inaccessible] Hmmm, this is my first Blu-ray but, but the original disc burned by DVD Architect works just fine for me. Whatever the problem was, it must have happened during the process of creating the torrent with TLH. I’ll look into fixing the torrent tomorrow (Saturday). If you have not completed the download, I suggest you stop the download for now. My apologies to anyone experiencing problems.”

jroundy: You do realize that because you have uploaded so much, that you’re making it difficult for others to upload, therefore you’re killing their ratio.

Well, I started the download, checked it many hours later & I had downloaded 73%, but had uploaded 117GB, 6.5 ratio. What am I supposed to do? Not finish downloading it? My footage is the main one used, I was excited to see a BluRay multi cam of it. When I was finished, I jumped off. I used to have a .98 ratio, I stay on torrents, but I am not upping much sometimes. Thus I dropped to .78.
I know what your saying, happens to me all the time.

You can limit your upload speed on uTorrent, and most likely other torrent programs. My point was that you were basically eating all the food at the table, and leaving scraps behind for the rest of us.

I suspect most people that are doing this, are unaware that by uploading so much, the are making it impossible for others to upload their fair share.

I just took a big hit on my ratio, by downloading this piece of crap that doesn’t work. Fortunately, I had built up my trading ratio by seeding old torrents for many months.

I’ve emailed the DIME Mod Desk and requested that the “fixed” Phoenix Blu torrent be made free leech for those of us who were burned on the first go round. If the new torrent is not free leech, we’ll have to upload 43.10GB each just to get to 1.0 over both 21.55GB torrents. My fingers are crossed.

Well, my hopes for a free leech for the ‘fixed’ VH Phoenix Blu-Ray have been dashed.
Check out this reply from one of the DIME moderators.

“Milan,

The software doesn’t allow for a single torrent to be “free leech” — if, the setting is valid for all torrents, sorry.

Best,

jupiter2101, DIME Mod”

Perhaps, we should set up a vine/tree for the “fixed” Phoenix Blu-Ray (if it ever surfaces)…

Milan
