panman729 (19) | I’m saving them to folder now..I emailed myself the entire message/links included to my google account. When I did this they were in a format I could download. I don’t know if that helps anyone else. After I’ve downloaded the first bunch of things..what do I do with the stuff on the bottom such as md5 checks and the stuff that follows it? This is my first ever attempt at this type of thing (as you can tell) so I really appreciate the little hints. panman729Quote |

ron (11779) | In your VIDEO_TS folder you need to have all the large VOB files, plus all of the smaller files from within the ZIP archive (unzip them and place them in the VIDEO_TS folder). The MD5 information is used to assure you have correctly downloaded the files. You would use something like TradersLittleHelper to verify that the checksums match. This isn’t strictly necessary, but helps troubleshoot things if you have a problem. ronQuote |

hakanemmet (40) | Doesn’t work for me. I’m not new to this so I wonder, how many files total it should be in the VIDEO_TS folder? Just so I can check if I have all. It starts but if I go in the song menu and choose Chinatown I end up in the middle of the drumsolo. I also tried to open it in DVD-shrink (not to shrink it only to check) but no? hakanemmetQuote |

In the VIDEO_TS folder there should be the 8 downloaded VOB files. Then unzip the the zip file – this produces 6 small files. So there should be 14 files in the VIDEO_TS folder altogether. dogtownQuote |

I got the 14 files so it should work fine but it doesn’t? I’ll try to download all of it again. hakanemmetQuote |

Did you do the md5 check? And are you burning the files to a Verbatim disc? guitardQuote |

hakanemmet (40) | Nope I didn’t do the md5, I have never done it. How does that work? Does it fix the problem or is it just a test to see if the files are corrupt? hakanemmetQuote |

It’s just a test to let you know if you got exact copies of the files. Download a program called Traders Little Helper (it’s free). 1. Go to the top dropdown menus and choose “checksum” You’ll be able to see the check as it progresses along from file to file. guitardQuote |

Are you using ImgBurn? I was having problems with Dual-Layer discs until recently, so I downloaded it & it seems to have solved my problem. I did notice one thing though. I have two burners in my pc, an older Pioneer one which has been in it for a few years now & a newer Sony one. Using ImgBurn & a Verbatim +R DL – when I burned the show using the older Pioneer burner I had the same problem you mentioned about not being able to select tracks from the menu, but when I burned it using the Sony – it was fine. I also ran the files through DVDShrink like you did & they were fine. So in my case I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the files or dropbox – it was just an incompatibility issue with an old burner (and probably my even older dvd player I use to watch them on my tv). dogtownQuote |
