georgethree33 (128) | https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7gr9fhyuqgs3114/AABkyZDJAyedouxGU4dOwo2ta?dl=0 I hope this works. To be honest – I’ve never shared anything via dropbox before, and only shared audio not video before so if it doesn’t work – let me know. Took me a week, so I apologize for the delay. Omahaswine provided this to me to share with everyone. But the DVDs didn’t have a menu or artwork, and as I was at this show I wanted to make this a memorable addition to your collections, so I had to strip out the videos and rebuild the DVDs as best I could. Usually I would build DVDs with Windows DVD Maker, only to discover as I started this rebuild that Windows no longer supports that software with their Windows 8 OS. So the learning curve got a little steeper as I had to field test various new software packages on the fly. DVD Styler was the one I eventually settled on for the rebuild, due to the ease of the software and the limitation on time. Really basic package, I kept the video and audio intact and set the gap between clips to zero. Was fairly successful, but if you guys know of better DVD making software – don’t be shy about it. The video clips weren’t broken up by song, and I didn’t have the time or the option to set markers per track, so rather than building in chapters per each video clip – I just set the Play option to Play All. Having never done a video upload before – I tried to make them as intuitive as possible. Just download the ISOs, and burn to disc! Van Halen Disc 1 (xp mode) Disc 2 (xp flex mode) Lineage: Canon ZR65>MiniDV master tapes>SA Panasonic DVD recorder>DVD>you The rest of the filmer notes are included in the INFO.TXT I was at this show, so I’m glad I can finally relive that experience – so thank you Omahaswine for opening up your vault and letting us all enjoy this show. If anyone can rip the audio from these videos, break it up into songs and clean up the breaks – I’d really like to have the audio from this show. Cheers! georgethree33Quote |

Re-authoring DVDs is a very simple process, but there are a lot of potential pitfalls. There are several experienced DVD authors here – you should have asked before proceeding.
Did you synch this with an alternate audio recording? Even so, I don’t understand why there would be any breaks. guitardQuote |

georgethree33 (128) | Guitard – Never had any trouble with Windows Dvd Maker, it always worked in the past. Was bummed the software wasn’t on the new OS. When I play it back on one dvd player – there’s no breaks, on another – I noticed the break. No worries – I’ll redo it. No i didn’t synch it with an alternate audio. I just copied the clips off his dvd player and loaded them into styler. I’ll keep at it. Sorry guys. Anyone have a FREE option for editing it? If not I’ll just reload the original DVDs he sent me without the menus. georgethree33Quote |

omahaswine (79) | I’m not sure how drop box works so if someone can get this on Dime I would greatly appreciate it. I’ve seen Radikal’s work and he does an excellent job. It might be a good idea to send the originals to him……assuming he is still willing and I know he will do a good job. I really want this on Dime so more people can get it. omahaswineQuote |

georgethree33 (128) | I believe so. It’s the program I was used to. Didn’t know when I agreed to do this that Microsoft bailed on DVD maker with OS8 which is my current OS. Friggin Microsoft. Anyways – I took some time yesterday to reinstall Vista on an older machine so I can get that program back. If I have any further issues – Radikal already reached out to me and I’ll pass the baton to him. Sorry for the delay guys. georgethree33Quote |

omahaswine (79) | There are no alternate audio sources out there. Audio is straight from the camera. All things considered it turned out pretty good. Way better than KC because I was even with the stack with no one around me. No screamers/talkers. omahaswineQuote |

omahaswine (79) | If someone makes artwork or authors this, the correct venue is “Qwest Center” and not Quest Center. omahaswineQuote |
