Notes
This is a 2 CD-R set with printed CD labels. The label artwork is simple and light brown in color. “Van Halen,” the disc number and label name are printing in black. The front cover has Dave and Ed in a concert shot. The back has a common 1984 era picture of the band backstage and the track listing.
A good audience recording with little audience noise. The guitar and vocals are clear and come over well. But the bass and drums are a little weaker and less prominent. But this is not a problem and gets better as the show continues.
At the end of “Runnin’ With The Devil”, (Disc 1, Track 4), Dave mentions that it’s Mothers Day and wishes a happy holiday to “Each and every one of your mamas.”
Dave slightly messes up the lyrics to “Little Guitars”.
The track listing on the rear artwork has several misspellings and mistakes. Some of them are:
Disc 1, Track 2 states, “(incl. Alex Van Halen deums solo)” Note the spelling of “drums”
Disc 1, Track 6 is listed incorrectly as Drop Dead Legs
Disc 1, Track 9 states, “(incl David Lee Roth on chats)” “on chats”?
Disc 1, Track 8 has Dave’s Tai Chi dance.
Disc 2, Track 8 includes Growth.
Overall this is a slightly above average audience recording. At least a A-/B+ compared to other 1984 recordings.
