Van Halen – US Airways Center Phoenix AZ June 16th 2012 Blu-Ray

Video: Canon Powershot SX210IS 1280×720 > Edius 6 with Mercalli antishake plugin > Upscaled to 1920×1080 in output > TsMuxeR gui 1.10.6 -authored/chaptered.

Audio: by PhxHorn2 http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=409526, Flac fontend to convert flac to WAV > Wavmerge to combine tracks into one.

Filmed from Section 210 row 7 seat 14 aka nosebleed section in the far back on a hot dusty Phoenix night. I’m pretty impressed on how this came out, especially with the stabilization plugin and 14x optical zoom on the Canon. Was great that no-one walked past me during the filming. The camera has a feature in it that shuts off the video after about 25 minutes and I forgot about it. It is noticeable at the end of Tattoo where I found a bad youtube source to compensate. I had to do this again for a screw up in Pretty Woman. There are a few missing video spots at the end of some songs to reset the timer. During a battery change at the beginning of I’ll wait there is some empty video. I did not use the audio on the Canon as it was heavily distorted. Funny that there is a bad pixel on the cam that originally was still, but after the stabilization, it moves around on the upper left (& lower right) showing just how much was compensated for. Brilliant! Overall very enjoyable and steady.

This is a Blu Ray structured author and has chapter points inserted at the correct times. Please burn with appropriate software & blu-ray media. It is assumed that you will know how to do this. I use Nero ver 8 and it works perfectly.

Canon Powershot SX210IS 1280×720 > Edius 6 with Mercalli antishake plugin > Upscaled to 1920×1080 in output > TsMuxeR gui 1.10.6 -authored/chaptered.
WTF? Upscale it so it gets even softer than it does after running the anti-shake plugin, AND make it that much more bloated to download…

The last time I tried doing something with an HD file in Mercalli, it would only let me save it as a Windows Media Player file – which obviously is no good for DVD authoring. I thought maybe it was because I was using a free version though. Perhaps the payed version lets you save as an .m2t file.

looking at the screenshots, it IS very soft looking
he should have just left it and 1280×720, it would have turned out fine
I think i’m gonna pass on this one

The screen shots did not look that great. However, as far as I am aware there are no other versions of the Phoenix show available.

And:

TORRENT BANNED FROM DIME!

Re-encoded video.
Per description:
“1280×720 … Upscaled to 1920×1080″
Upscaling is (as with most video conversions) pointless bloat. This may be shared in its original filetype and codec. HD > SD downsampling is permitted on dime; upscaling is a waste of bandwidth.

I need to see how the multi cam of this is coming along. If it doesn’t get completed soon, I will see if one of you guys can author my footage. It is full HD, & I didn’t zoom tight very much, wanted a still picture as much as possible. I was 5th row, so close anyway. I have Sony Vegas pro, but no clue how to use it.

I really hope these Phx vids get into the proper hands for authoring.

After reading the lineage and description on this one, glad it was pulled.
